Who is responsible

What is collected

Server logs: the pages requested, the date and time, the referring page, the browser and operating system, and an IP address. These are kept for security and for counting which cards are read, and are retained for a limited period.
Advertising data: if advertising is served on this site, the advertising vendor and its partners may set cookies and collect device identifiers and approximate location in order to serve and measure ads.
Analytics: aggregate page counts. Where analytics are enabled, IP addresses are anonymised and no attempt is made to identify an individual reader.
Nothing you type: this site has no accounts, no comment system and no newsletter, so no name, email address or profile is stored unless you write to the address above.

Children

This site is written for adults and is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information, write to us and it will be deleted.

International transfers and retention

Advertising and analytics providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States, under the transfer mechanisms those providers publish. Server logs are kept for a bounded period and then deleted; anything you send by email is kept until your question is resolved and for a reasonable period afterwards.
